Thank you for using Sirius Focus. We build it to help you tell the difference between being busy and moving forward. Because we cannot know every one of you personally, we need a few terms to keep the ship afloat. Here they are, in plain words.
When we say "we", "us" or "our", we mean Alchymir Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15469949, at 22 Silk Mill Close, Leeds LS16 6PW, United Kingdom. When we say the "service", we mean the website at siriusfocus.com, the Sirius Focus web app, desktop app and mobile apps. When we say "you", we mean the person using the service, with or without an account.
We may update these terms. When we make a significant change we will refresh the date at the top of this page and tell you, by email for anything that matters. Using the service after a change means you agree to the terms as they then stand. If we do not enforce a right or a provision at some point, that does not mean we have given it up.
These terms limit our liability, and they say what happens to your account and your data if you or we end the relationship. Please read them.
Account terms
- You must be at least 16 years old to hold an account.
- You must be a human. Accounts registered by bots or other automated means are not permitted.
- You are responsible for keeping your account secure: for your password if you use one, and for the devices you stay signed in on. We cannot be liable for loss that comes from a failure to do so.
- You are responsible for everything you store in your account and for everything done under it.
- An account is for one person. Do not share yours, and do not use anyone else's.
Acceptable use
You may not use the service:
- to store or share content that is unlawful, or that infringes anyone's rights;
- to harass, threaten or defraud anyone;
- to probe, overload, scrape or interfere with the service or the systems it runs on;
- to try to get at another person's account or data;
- to reverse engineer, copy or resell the service or any part of it.
If you find a security problem, please tell us at privacy@alchymir.com rather than exploiting it. We will not take action against anyone who reports one in good faith.
Your content
Everything you put into Sirius Focus stays yours. We claim no ownership over it. You give us only the limited licence we need to store it, sync it between your devices and show it back to you, which is what the service is. We limit access to providing and protecting the service and responding to support requests and legal requirements, as our privacy policy sets out in detail.
We do not pre-screen content, but we reserve the right, though not the obligation, to remove content that breaks these terms or the law.
The service itself, its design, its code and its name, belong to us or our licensors. Using it gives you no rights in any of that. Ask before using our name or logo for anything beyond saying that you use the product.
Fees
Local workspaces and app features remain free without an account. New personal sync accounts receive a 60-day trial starting with their first successful sync activation; no card is required and no automatic charge follows without a subscription checkout.
Personal sync costs £4.99 per calendar month or £39.99 per year, renewing automatically until cancelled. One account subscription covers its owned personal workspaces. Checkout confirms applicable taxes and the first charge date. Existing purchase and public promises are honoured separately.
Expiry pauses sync while preserving local data, queued edits and cloud recovery. Cloud recovery is kept for at least 90 days, with no automatic deletion. Paid renewal failures have seven days of grace. Cancellation retains access through the paid period. Purchasing does not reconnect a workspace you deliberately disconnected.
Permanent supporter recognition is separate from ongoing sync eligibility. Sharing and shared-user billing are not included.
How supporter status is delivered. There is nothing to download and no key to enter. Supporter status is attached to your account as soon as the payment clears, usually within seconds of the checkout closing.
Who sells it. Subscriptions are sold by Paddle or Stripe Managed Payments, as shown at checkout. The merchant of record takes the payment, works out and remits any sales tax or VAT due in your country, issues your receipt, and makes any refund. We never see or hold your full card number or security code.
Renewals and cancellation. The price, currency, billing interval, taxes and any discount terms are shown at checkout. Your subscription renews automatically until cancelled. You can stop future renewals from Settings → Billing on the website or through the subscription management link provided by your payment provider. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and does not itself refund an earlier payment. When you delete your account, we confirm cancellation of future renewals for its recorded subscription before removing the account. If that cannot be confirmed, deletion stops and you can retry or contact us. Cancellation does not refund earlier payments.
Refunds. Ask within 14 days of an initial subscription payment or a renewal payment and you will be refunded in full, without having to give a reason. This also covers historical supporter payments. Your local workspaces and local data remain available after a refund. A refunded subscription period may stop providing paid sync access; any remaining trial or separate grant still applies. Supporter recognition is removed only if no qualifying completed payment remains. Our refund policy says how to ask and what happens next, and nothing in it takes away the statutory right to cancel that you have as a consumer.
A feature that costs real money for each person who uses it, such as receiving email into your account, may be charged for at what it costs us, without profit. We will say so before you use it, never afterwards.
Ending your account
You can delete your account yourself at any time from inside the app, on the web under Settings, General, Delete account, and on Android under Settings, Account. We first confirm cancellation of future subscription renewals. Deletion then removes your account and synced content from the live database. Financial records, limited security records and backups have the retention described in our privacy policy. Remove offline copies on other devices yourself. Export anything you want to keep before deleting: account deletion cannot be undone.
We may suspend or end your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if your use of the service puts it or other people at risk. Where we reasonably can, we will warn you first and give you the chance to put things right. Abuse of the people who work on Sirius Focus, in any form, ends an account at once.
Changes to the service
Sirius Focus is in active development. Features will change, and some may be reworked or removed when we find a better way. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any part of the service, and where a change takes something away from you we will tell you ahead of time whenever we can.
Uptime, security and privacy
We provide the service "as is" and "as available". We take its uptime seriously and we work to keep it running, but we do not offer a service level agreement, and we cannot promise it will be available at every moment or free of every fault.
We protect your data with encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and backups, as the privacy policy describes. You agree that we may process your data as that policy sets out, and for no other purpose. The people who run Sirius Focus may access your data only:
- to help you with a support request, and only after asking you first;
- to fix an error that has stopped an automated process part-way, when it cannot be fixed without looking, and then looking at the least we can;
- to investigate a report of abuse, or to keep the service secure;
- to the extent the law compels us.
Features and bugs
We design the service with care, from our own experience and the experience of people who share theirs with us. There is no service that suits everyone, and we make no promise that this one will meet your particular requirements. Like all software it has bugs. We track the ones reported to us and fix the ones that matter most, security and privacy first, but we cannot promise a service with no errors in it.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit or exclude. If you use the service as a consumer, you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other consumer law, and nothing here takes those away.
Subject to that, we are not liable to you for any loss of profit, business or opportunity, for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of data beyond what the privacy policy commits us to, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service. Our total liability to you for everything arising out of these terms or the service, in any twelve-month period, is limited to the greater of one hundred pounds sterling and the amount you paid us for the service in that period.
Put plainly: choosing to use Sirius Focus is a bet on us. We do our best to be a safe one, through careful management, investment in security and infrastructure, and giving a damn. If you choose to use the service, thank you for betting on us.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your own courts, and if you are a consumer elsewhere you keep whatever protection the mandatory law of your country gives you.

If you have a question about any of these terms, email privacy@alchymir.com.
